What does a grandma look like after 3 weeks with the grandkids?

My mom has been here helping me with the kids since I had Eliza but she left today. I was on my own most of the day today but tomorrow will be my first day with all the kiddos all day. I don't think it will be too bad but I'm sure trying to shower and get ready will take a bit longer than normal and trips out of the house will be fewer and farther between for a while. It was so nice to have another set of hands here for so long and it really lets me see why people live so close to their families. Emmie cried her eyes out when my mom and step dad drove away today and Allison was very unsure about what was happening, she knew she didn't like the whole goodbye thing but didn't quite understand the fact that they weren't going to come back soon.

So I now feel like I'm officially a mother of 3 since I will be on my own (until Darren gets home each day of course) we'll see if I still have my sanity intact by the end of the week, wish me luck!

Eliza's Blessing

Eliza was blessed today. Emmie and Allison were both blessed at church but Eliza was blessed at home due to Stake Conference being today and I think I liked doing it at home better. It seemed more personal and centered around the family which was nice. Some of mine and Darren's families made it into town so we blessed her in the afternoon with everyone and then munched on some yummy food after.

This is the first year we are doing NOTHING with our return. Why you may ask, well we OWE money this year!!!



























How sucky is that? We were thinking we could tile our upstairs bathroom, add our 4th bedroom, pay off the hospital bills that we will soon get but nope we are shelling out $1,300 more to our lovely federal and state taxes instead. I hope everyone else is a lot more excited about their filing this year than we are and that you spend it on something fun and worth while.

More from the babe

Here's what little Lyza likes to do best.... sleep! And luckily she's good at it too. The longest she has been awake since being born has been 45 minutes. It's crazy to be back to newborn stage.























































My mom and I had our first outing with all the kids yesterday. We went out to lunch and then to JoAnn's fabric to look for some material for burp cloths and receiving blankets. I had to make a pit-stop at JoAnn's to nurse while my mom wrangled the kiddos around the store. All-in-all it wasn't too bad of a trip haha my mom might say otherwise though. I'm biting my nails wondering how I will possibly make it out on my own with the kids but I'm sure I will figure it out after my mom is gone.

Backtrack

Here are a couple pictures of the girls playing around at the dinosaur museum a couple days before Eliza made it here. I don't know why I wasn't taking the girls here more while I was pregnant. It's a great indoor place where they can get the wiggles out and it's nice that Allison is finally big enough to play around more.

We are home now and everyone is doing great. I'm happy to report this was by far the best delivery out of the 3 babies! Here is the newest member of our family, Eliza Jane. She is a sweet little thing that likes to constantly be making noise. It makes us laugh to listen to her. Even in her sleep she likes to make little squeak/whine noises.

Baby Coming Soon

Tomorrow's the big day!

The hospital called tonight and told me to expect a call sometime in the morning telling me what time to come in to get induced. So sometime tomorrow our baby girl will be here!!! I'll update with pictures and what not when I can.
