Our Idahoans

Our friends Becky and Travis came down this weekend from Idaho with their little guy Nathan and spent a couple nights with us. Friday we had fun playing the game "Would You Rather". It has these challenge cards that are hilarious tasks that you have to perform. We changed it up a bit so the other players got to choose the task that you have to do and we were dying laughing at each other. Forgive me for posting the pics guys but I couldn't resist. I'm glad we have friends that are so fun and such great sports. Thanks for a great weekend guys!

Travis had to hold his tongue for a couple turns and we were totally cracking up because he needed a "drool cloth" haha Then later we got to draw on him for another challenge.


































Becky had to hold a pickle between her upper lip and nose. The pickle was so big she couldn't keep it there without holding her head back.



















I had to change socks with someone of the groups choice and they chose Travis. I HATE feet so this was so gross to me and I thought I was going to throw up (no offense Travis)



















Darren didn't mind his challenge since he breaks out into dance whenever he gets a chance anyway but he had to dance to his own humming.

While they were here it didn't stop Allison from her usual stripping and potty usage.

Potty training

So Allison is still going strong but I'm about to fall apart! She has had very few accidents in the last couple days and they have been either right next to the toilet or on it (she has tried to pee on the toilet with her panties still on) She has even pooped on the toilet (Gross I know but other moms will understand the awesomeness of that) She is really doing fantastic but it's so much harder to keep up with her when I'm having the other 2 kiddos to keep happy as well, especially with nursing Lyza. I swear every time I try to nurse her Allison thinks it's a great time to go sit down and need her bum wiped or take her panties off for the fun of it and try and run around naked. I then need to put Eliza down over and over again and she cries of course. I was left truly haggard after the day was over yesterday. I felt like each of the kids was left unfulfilled and wanting more of my attention and I hate that feeling. I felt stretched too thin but still wanted to be able to give more to each of them and it left me a little emotionally drained as well as physically exhausted. I still don't know if these days of letting her try out potty training will really stick but am willing to keep letting her try it out as long as she keeps doing so well but I think I will need a vacation afterwards. ok maybe just a yummy pie or something ;)

Getting bigger

Here's Eliza staring intently at Daddy. It took her forever to blink but when she finally did I took the second one. It's crazy to me that she's already grown out of some of her clothes. I hate how fast the first year goes!


































In other news Allison has been obsessed with taking her diaper off lately. She has peed in her little potty chair a couple times and is very interested in the toilet but I haven't thought she was actually ready to introduce real potty training yet (I still don't think she's really ready) But I decided to let her try it out today and see what she thought about going in the toilet. So far this morning she's kept completely dry and went potty without me even asking her if she needed to go. She's just went in, taken her diaper off and went. Now she's down for a nap so we'll see how she does when she wakes up.

Although I would be thrilled if this was in fact all it was going to take to potty train her I'm not holding my breath. I think it's probably something she just thinks is fun to try out but then will go back to the diaper when she's realizes it's really not that cool. I guess we'll see what the next couple days bring.
